If you start thinking about your body as a system of levers and pulleys, you can better understand that when you start encouraging your muscles to work synergistically, you are going to be able to move more efficiently because more muscles are working together to create an action.

Use your breath to better stabilize your pelvis so you stop losing energy with unwanted movement

For example, if you’re having trouble achieving the single leg squat, it could be that you’re losing energy through excess movement and certain body parts, such as your lower back or your arms. Achieving stability using your breath control can be unbelievably helpful in stopping the loss of excess energy, and putting the energy where you want it, which is in the muscles of the legs and the glutes as you stand up.

Connecting to your Ab-Ribbon can help you to achieve maximal stability when performing this movement

Try this: if you have an Ab-Ribbon, connect your breath to the ribbon by inhaling deeply and filling the ribbon, and upon exhalation, you are loosening the ribbon before you stand up from your squat.
