Section 2: Breathography — The Next Steps

In this section, we move into the next stage of the HYPOXiX method.

Here, you’ll learn the core components of Breathography — the breathing language that allows you to apply the method with more precision and control.

This section focuses on three key elements:

  • Nasal breathing

  • Breath retentions

  • Belly pulses

These tools are introduced gradually and intentionally.
They are not about forcing or endurance — they are about timing, awareness, and efficiency.

What Changes Here

As you move into this section, the breath becomes more active and deliberate.

You’ll begin to:

  • Slow the breathing cycle

  • Lengthen the exhale

  • Explore brief breath holds

  • Use gentle belly pulses to maintain connection without excess tension

These techniques help train:

  • CO₂ tolerance

  • Diaphragmatic control

  • Nervous system regulation

  • A deeper connection between breath and core support

How to Approach This Section

Move slowly.

If breath retentions feel challenging, stay with nasal breathing only and simply observe how your body responds.

If at any point you feel dizzy, anxious, or disconnected, return to normal nasal breathing and reduce the intensity.

Adaptation happens through consistency and quality, not through pushing.

Why This Matters

Breathography gives you the tools to:

  • Stay calm under load

  • Maintain structure during movement

  • Transition smoothly between effort and recovery

These skills will be applied directly in the functional movement progressions that follow.

This is where breath stops being something you think about — and starts becoming something your body uses automatically.
